We exist...

To Glorify God Who is our Sovereign;
To present Jesus Christ Who is our Saviour;
To keep in step with the Holy Spirit Who is our Sanctifier,
in order to be a light so lovely in the community that all would be drawn into His presence.

Broadford Parish Church

Broadford lies below the Red Cuillins, looking out towards the Isle of Pabay and, further afield, Applecross on the mainland. It was from Applecross that St Maelrubha set out on his journey to Ashaig (on the outskirts of Broadford) on his mission to be the first preacher of the Gospel of Jesus on the Isle of Skye. History records the ongoing success of that mission and shows the huge influence that the Gospel has had on the island as a whole. The original church built in Ashaig is long gone, but the message lives on in the hearts of Christian people in the area today.

There are various Christian churches in the Broadford area. Our parish church is on the main road between Kyleakin and Portree (the A87) near the Elgol turn off (the B8083).The congregation are friendly and always look forward to welcoming visitors to the services and for a cup of tea afterwards in the church hall. The church is newly renovated with a fresher, more modern feel to it.

There is a creche available during the Broadford morning service (at 10.30am) and a Sunday School for older children. All are welcome to the Wednesday evening time of prayer and Bible study at 7.30pm which is held in the hall behind the church.
