We exist...
To Glorify God Who is our Sovereign;
To present Jesus Christ Who is our Saviour;
To keep in step with the Holy Spirit Who is our Sanctifier,
in order to be a light so lovely in the community that all would be drawn into His presence.

Kyleakin Parish Church
Kyleakin - Gateway to Skye!
If you have visited the Isle of Skye, chances are you have at least passed through the outskirts of Kyleakin. Surveys show that more than 80% of visitors to the island enter via the famous Skye Bridge which leads from Kyle of Lochalsh to Kyleakin. If like many you get to the roundabout in Kyleakin and instantly turn right thinking that all of Skye is that way... You're missing out! Take the time to turn left, which takes you straight into the lovely coastal village of Kyleakin.
The Kyleakin parish church is near the centre of the village on the way down to the busy little harbour. Kyleakin's is a lively little church that has seen times of great blessing over the years. As well as the parish ministers and other preaching elders, Kyleakin frequently hosts guest preachers from around the world at the evening fellowship meeting (this ran for years as an after-church fellowship and is now the main evening service).
The first service is at 12pm. Worshipers of all ages gather to be led by the little praise group in our singing. After the children's message, the younger folk from the congregation leave the service - some to creche, some to Sunday School and some teenagers to the New Horizons group where each are taught the truths of the Bible in a relevant and understandable way by dedicated and able youth leaders. After receiving from the ministry of God's word being preached there is a cup of tea or, once a month, a soup and sandwich lunch where fellowship can continue.
Evening services, held in the church hall round at the back of the church, tend to be much more informal with different folk preaching, sharing their testimonies or sharing about the missionary organisation they represent.
The Kyleakin church also hosts a library of Christian books, videos and other resource material which are available freely for your use (these are kept in the church hall).
There is a prayer meeting in Kyleakin every Tuesday at 7.30pm to which everyone is warmly welcomed - we encourage you to join with us in these times, even if you are just visiting the area briefly.
Kyleakin is a great place to stay if you are planning a holiday on Skye, with plenty of accommodation available including some great Bunk Houses, Bed and Breakfasts and Hotels to suit all tastes and budgets. And if you do pass through at any time... you will always be most welcome if you are able to join with us for any of our meetings.
